Are you ready to change your life forever?
Are you ready to change your life forever?
The 4th of November I’ve met the General Manager of TAFE Queensland to talk to him about my struggles after having my face and my body severely bushed by a gun.
He told me that the episode was irrelevant.
I told him I wasn’t ready for placement at Princess Alexandra Hospital. I’ve asked him to move my placement in January.
He told me that my request was unrealistic.
I told him I’m a Victim of a Violent Crime.
He laughed and told me “don’t make the victim!”.
I told him “I am a victim!”.
He yelled at me :
F*CK OFF!! GET OUT HERE!!
Welcome to Australia. Welcome to TAFE Queensland!
When the police came back, after one week inspecting my mobile phone as I was the criminal, and they told me to relocate to Brisbane I honestly didn’t think twice before to pack and leave…
…well, I should have had though…
I honestly didn’t think that with a smashed face no one is really happy to rent you a room…
I honestly didn’t think that two broken ribs would have been so fucking painful while driving…
I honestly didn’t think I was so tired and under shock and Brisbane so damn difficult to drive…
I honestly didn’t think that I would have start to sleep in my car…
And the point was clear as fuck:
YOU CAN’T DRIVE UBER IN THE SAME CAR YOU ARE LIVING IN, JUST ONE WEEK AFTER HAVING BEEN BUSHED AT THE GUN POINT, IN A CITY WHERE YOU HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE OF WHERE TO GO, WHO YOU ARE, AND HOW THE HELL YOU’LL GET THE SITUATION FIXED.
…yes, I know, as usual… European we are so childish and spoiled… that’s the real fact.
The 12th of February 2019 two guys walked inside my place with a gun. They wanted my money and my backpack. They got nothing. I got multiple fractures, my phone sequestered by the police and ZERO HELP from Tafe Queensland. TAFE should have informed the Border of Australia and AHPRA of what was going on. Nurses should lead Diploma of Nursing according with Australian legislation. No one came to visit me at the hospital. Are truly nurses leading Diploma of Nursing at TAFE Gold Coast? Is this for real the attitude a nurse should have in such situation?
I’ve been forcedly removed by two nurses, one on my right and one on my left. Walked out the hospital as a dangerous person, a mad person, a criminal.
Why?
Because the day before during a debrief with a supervisor, despite my initial refuse to disclose my emotional state (Italians can be pretty expressionist when they free their emotional sphere), since the supervisor (a nurse from Robina Hospital) has insisted on the importance of open up during debrief meetings, I’ve decided to drop my defences and let my train of thoughts free to run outside my mouth.
Idiot me. I’ve always thought (and I was taught) that the debrief session is an important moment to let the tension go, ask for a help, recognise any possible distress… HOWEVER…
The Collins British Dictionary define debrief as “obtain information (from someone) at the end of a mission” and Merriam-Webster describe debrief as follow: to interrogate (someone, such as a pilot) usually upon return (as from a mission) in order to obtain useful information (e.g. The hostages were later debriefed by police).
I’ll never ever disclose my personal opinion in Australia, I’ll never point out mistakes done by Australian nurses within a Government Public Hospital.
NEVERTHELESS TO DISCLOSE INFORMATION RELEASED DURING A DEBRIEF SESSION TO THIRD PARTIES IS A BIG BREACH INTO CONFIDENTIALITY, PRIVACY AND INFORMATION PROTECTION.
MOREOVER NOT TO DISCUSS FURTHER ACTION (CONSEQUENT ILLEGITIMATE DIFFUSION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION) WITH THE CONSUMER/STUDENT NURSE IS A INFRINGEMENTS OF A NUMBER OF LAWS,M RULES, POLICES AND PROCEDURES.
TAFE HAS DONE NOTHING BUT BEING MISLEADING AND OFFENSIVE, WHEN THE RIGHT PROCEDURE SHOULD BE, SCHEDULE A MEETING IN A TIMELY MANNER, DISCUSS THE ISSUE WITH THE STUDENT, EXPLAIN THE MISTAKE (WHENEVER THERE IS A MISTAKE) AND WARN THE STUDENT A FIRST TIME.
FORCED REMOTION ISN’T A PROCEDURE, BUT SIMPLY THE CLEAR MANIFESTATION OF THE IGNORANCE AND NARROW MINDED RACIST ATTITUDE OF MOST OF THE INSTITUTIONS IN THIS COUNTRY.
